If you’ve had an oil change at Oilcheck on a Wednesday, your Ladies’ Day surprise treat may have been a pretty organza sachet filled with fragrant lavender from the Damali Lavender Farm and Bed & Breakfast in Cobble Hill, BC.  We are very happy to support this great local business and their beautiful gift store.

Pets who visit Oilcheck with their owners know that doggie treats are always nearby. It’s easy to spot a returning customer when their dog’s head is straining out the window just waiting for that treat to come!

However, some dogs don’t have the love and attention they deserve and for whatever reason need the help of our local SPCA. Look for donation cubes and special fundraiser items at Oilcheck. We’re happy to support the Cowichan Valley SPCA and encourage you to do support them too.

Clements Centre Society – cvacl.org

For several years now, Oilcheck has engaged the landscaping services of the supported employment program run by the Clements Centre Society (formerly Cowichan Valley Assn for Community Living) who provide, among other things, services for adults with developmental disabilities to help them participate meaningfully in all aspects of community life.

In good weather, John and his team can be seen tending the shrubs and weeding the strip outside Oilcheck along Beverly Street in Duncan. We value the job they do for us in keeping our business looking attractive and we know that they can certainly take pride in a job well done.

Oilcheck is happy to provide an area to local youth groups for car wash fundraisers. Our high visibility location is great for attracting those dirty cars and generous passersby who want to support active youth in our area. As a “thank you” for their support, we’ll give a same day discount on an oil change. Applications available.
